This gorgous 'Lace Yoko' gown is a sample wedding dress by Melbourne-based designer Gwendolynne. It's like something out of an old-world fairytale and good news is it's never been worn by a bride. Gwendolynne gowns are all artfully and ethically handmade made in her Melbourne studio upstairs from the shop. I love this frock but wore anothr of hers on the day. This dress retailed at $5600 but I picked it up for $1200 at a smaple sale they had in their Fitzroy store. It has been worn by models for shoots and tried on in the store but that's all. I ended up having a bride-to-be dilema and bought 2 dresses that day for less than $2000. Though I wore the other gown on the day, which needed a lot of work on it. I thought I could give this one to my sister but it didn't fit her body shape I'm afriad and so I'm selling it at much less than I bought it because it takes up a bit of space and I do have my other Wedding dress to store as well.
It does need to be dry-cleaned ($250 max) and there are some minor mending details that need attention (max $300). I'm happy to get them all done so the dress is in ready-to-wear condition for $1500 or if you'd like to do this yourself I'm happy to sell it for $900 and put you in touch with the right people who deal specifically with mending and cleaning Gwendolynne gowns. They're quite unique and require a little TLC.
